Getting to Cincinnati, by Air
Cincinnati is served by the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG), which offers direct flights from many major cities across the United States. The airport is located about 13 miles from downtown Cincinnati. After landing, travelers can use rental cars, taxis, rideshare services, or airport shuttles to reach their destination in the city.
Fly-and-Drive
If you're flying into a nearby city, Cincinnati is easily accessible by car. Dayton International Airport is about 65 miles north, roughly a one-hour drive. Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport is around 100 miles southwest, about a 1.5-hour drive. Columbus, Ohio is also an option, approximately 110 miles away. The drive into Cincinnati from any of these cities takes you through pleasant Midwestern landscapes, making it an easy and scenic trip.
Getting to Cincinnati by Rail
Cincinnati is served by Amtrak’s Cardinal Line, which runs between New York City and Chicago. The train stops at Cincinnati Union Terminal, a historic train station located near downtown. Rail service is currently limited to three days a week, with arrivals and departures typically occurring in the early morning hours.
